I just assembled my desk, how come it isn't working?

We've recently switched over to a new frame! With this new frame, you need to initialize the desk first before it can start standing with you! You can view how to do so here.

Can I purchase accessories independent of the desk?

Yes, you can! All other accessories can be purchased separately here

My order hasn’t shipped yet, but I want to upgrade / add accessories / change a portion of my order. What do I do?

Please Contact Us and a member of our Customer Experience Team will gladly assist!  *Please note, we'll do our utmost to accommodate your request, however, in an effort to get your awesome StandDesk item(s) to you as promptly as possible, we do process and ship out orders within 1-3 business days. 

When Will I Hear Back?

Do you offer discounts or discounts for group / bulk purchases?

No - we sell at razor thin margins, so are unable to offer bulk discounts on the desks themselves. However, all bulk orders ship via Fedex LTL, and the shipping cost per unit decreases as the quantity of your order increases.

What if I received my desk and it is damaged?

If you receive an item that is damaged or defective, please Contact Us as promptly as possible (within 72hrs for shipping damage). The more information you can provide, the faster we'll be able to assist and provide a solution or replacement item. Please be sure to include a detailed description of the issue and any photos or videos that demonstrate the issue.

What if my shipment was missing an item or component?

If your shipment was missing a package or a component of the desk, please Contact Us and we will promptly assist!  *Please note, FedEx occasionally delivers packages separately, within 48 hours of one another - if you've received some, but not all, of your packages, using your FedEx tracking number you are able to check the status of each individual package by clicking the word 'show' on your FedEx tracking page.

What does NO TOP mean?

No top means that you will be getting the desk frame (with all motor and electrical components) only, so that you can use your own top from a different source. If you only get the frame, we will supply the necessary screws so that you can connect your own top.

How does the desk work?

Press and hold the up/down control button to adjust your height. The desk will elevate/lower until you reach your desired height. Other standing desks may require you to use a manual crank. We wanted to keep things simple, so you can focus on more important things. =)

Memory Handset Instructions?

Bring the desk to your desired height, hold a preset button for 5-8 seconds until it beeps, and repeat for each number/height.

Can I upgrade my Standard Handset for a Memory Handset?

Yes, you can. Just select the Memory Handset add-on on your configuration page.

I live in California - can I come pick up the desk?

Unfortunately customer pickups are not permitted at our third party Fulfillment Center for safety and insurance purposes.

How does the Cable Management Tray work?

Our Cable Management Tray is a sleek way to manage all your essential power cords. We designed this optional Tray so you’d never have to worry about messy power cords dangling everywhere or worrying if your cords are long enough. The Tray affixes to the frame and pairs perfectly with our Commercial Grade Power Strips.

What is the crossbar? Do I need it?

The Crossbar  is an added stabilization feature that goes between the two legs. The desk was designed specifically so that it would be stable without a Crossbar  (so you have more leg room). However, depending on the use of the desk and if leg room isn't as important, some customers have requested the extra stabilization (about 15%) - so it's an option if you'd like to add it! We also recommend the Crossbar for any customers that will be having upwards of 150lbs on the desk.

What’s the difference between Standard & Memory Handsets?

STANDARD FRAME - 2 button control (NO preset options)

MEMORY HANDSET - 3 presets to program desired heights

Can I use my own top?

Yes. Select “No Top” when configuring your order.

Can I put casters on my desk?

Yes, you can. We also sell our own casters as an add-on accessory! Just select the "Casters" add-on option on the configuration page.

What are the minimum and maximum dimension for a top if I wanted to use my own?

If you want to use your own top, just make sure it is minimum 26" x 50" and maximum 40" x 70".

Can I add a keyboard tray? Do you recommend a specific brand?

We recently launched our new and awesome Keyboard Tray!

I need more details on the Memory Handset.

The memory handset allows you to preset up to 4 different heights for the desk - so you don't have to find your perfect height each time you raise/lower the desk. It's also good if multiple workers/family members will be using it, so they can each have their own stored preset.

Are the desks shipped assembled or disassembled?

Desks are shipped disassembled, but come with all parts (including screws and tools) that are needed for assembly. It's easy to assemble, and should take the average person who isn't specifically handy no more than 20-30 minutes.

I am too short / too tall for your desk! What about me?

Our Pro model's vertical adjustable height allows for 24" min. to 50" height max. The best things in life come in short and tall packages!

How big of drawers can I use?

Anything under 27" height and 45" width will fit with our desks.

Do you ship to Canada or International?

We are currently focused on our domestic orders, within the Contiguous United States, and have not yet expanded internationally. If you are outside of our current shipping zone and would like to be notified when we are shipping to your area, please fill out this form. We are currently able to ship bulk orders (20 desks or more) to Canada only.

What is your return policy?

We are certain that you will fall in love with your StandDesk immediately, but if for any reason, you receive your StandDesk item and decide you no longer want it, you can return the product within 30 days of delivery. Please note that after the 30 day period, you will be responsible for the cost of shipping back to us. To qualify for a free return on your StandDesk product, you must provide a receipt or proof of purchase. The item must be in the same condition as when you received it, and you must ship it back in the original packaging. Please send our Customer Experience Team an email to if you would like to return an item, or if you have any further questions regarding our policy. 

What is your refund policy?

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 30 days of our receiving the product.


What is your warranty?

We have a 2 year warranty for our StandDesk Risers, a 5 year warranty for our StandDesk Simple, and a 7 year warranty for our StandDesk Pro. 3 years for moving/electrical parts. Customer satisfaction is our number one priority. Contact us for any further questions. Our Warranty was upgraded POST our Kickstarter's FAQ to ensure we are providing the very best for our #standdesk Community.

Can I send you a purchase order?

Yes, we accept purchase orders from health care facilities, universities, most government agencies, and clients we’ve worked with in the past for any order of 10 desks or more. If you’re unsure whether we will accept your PO just send us a message here.

What should I include on my PO?

Please make sure a contact person, phone number, and email address are included in addition to the standard billing and shipping information including an AP contact. Please go through the drop down menus on our product pages and send over the specification for each option.
